A Message From Hannah
Note from Candidate
Dear Friends,
I was shocked when, in June of this year, our Commissioner was arrested for theft — just two weeks after being appointed to the position — and then arrested a second time on charges of organized retail theft. The case has been referred to the District Attorney.
I'm running for Ellis Çounty Commissioner, Precinct 2, because I believe our community deserves honest, responsible, and accountable leadership.
I'm offering you a choice as a write-in candidate. As a longtime Ellis County resident and local business owner, I understand the importance of listening to our community, respecting taxpayer dollars, and protecting the character ot the place we call home — and doing all of that with honesty and integrity.

The Candidate
Meet Hannah
Hannah Shelby is a longtime Ellis County resident and Precinct 2 business owner who is eager to serve the residents as a county commissioner.
Since moving to Ellis County more than 20 years ago, Hannah has gained a variety of business and financial expertise. She was the CFO for her family’s construction company in south Ellis County, providing her with a good understanding of both finances and heavy equipment. She eventually moved on to operate her own business and has a firm understanding of how to operate on a tight budget with high integrity and honesty. Additionally, she has had experience managing up to 50 employees at various job sites.
Hannah was active in a variety of sports while growing up in the Dallas area and went on to become a fitness and bodybuilding professional athlete. She and her husband Kevin have now owned and operated Shelby Symmetry for the past 10 years. They have been investing in the financial health of the community, as well as the physical health and wellness of area residents.
Under Hannah’s management as CFO of Shelby Symmetry, their business has seen at least a 30 percent growth each year.
Hannah is the proud mother of three responsible and accomplished adult children and a proud military spouse to Kevin, a United States Air Force veteran. She is a committed Christian, and both Hannah and Kevin enjoy serving their community by serving their church in various ways. Hannah has also had multiple opportunities over the years to serve by sharing health and nutrition knowledge with myriad community organizations.

In her personal and business life, Hannah is known for her honesty and integrity. These qualities are essential in a commissioner that the people can trust to represent them well. Hannah is committed to bringing respect to the office of Ellis County Commissioner, Pct. 2.
Residents of Pct. 2 deserve a county commissioner who is accessible, who listens to their concerns, and who openly shares information, decisions, and processes. Hannah pledges to be just that sort of county commissioner.
Hannah is thoroughly familiar with successfully and responsibly working on a tight budget, both in her family and in her businesses. She will work to treat taxpayer dollars with the same conservative care as her own, as well as work to keep taxes low.
Having lived in Ellis County for more than 20 years, Hannah has seen a lot of changes. She also knows that the people who live in Pct. 2 want to preserve the small-town charm of its more populated areas, as well as preserve the important expanses of farm and ranch land, and she will work to defend that rural character.
